Forensic Assessment

Dr. Angelich has forensic training and experience conducting evaluations for DC Superior Court, St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Fairfax County and Loudon County. A forensic assessment relates data from a psychological evaluation into a legal setting. Assessing an individual’s state of mind at the time of an offense, in addition to explaining any past history of psychiatric conditions or trauma can be an important resource in an effort at mitigation of sentence. Additionally, a forensic evaluation and report provides treatment recommendations to the court. Dr. Angelich can also assist the court with assessments used to answer competency to stand trial questions and assessment of future risk.
